So, when my sister and i got beds (when i was 3!) they were bunk beds, but you can take them apart, right? So, im 16 now, and my sister will be moveing out for college this summer. As mean as it sounds, im takeing her bed and turning it into a loft, but i dont know how unsafe it could be. Any instructions online i could use? thanks in advanced!

I am a junior in highschool and tomorrow I'm going to ikea to look at bed frames. I think a loft bed would be really neat, but would it be too childish? Im thinking of this one http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/50019950 Also, it says the mattress should only be 8 inches high but mine is about 10.5. Do you think this would be a big issue? And are they a pain to get into and out of? Do you think I will get sick of it after like a week? Thanks so much!
