Best comfortable crib mattress pad?
I need to find a nice padded mattress pad for my son's bed. He sleeps okay on it but the mattress is not padded nor is the current pad we have...it just seems not comfortable. I have been reading reviews online. Any suggestions? He is 2.5 and it converts to a toddler bed.
any crib matress that has a 2 & 1/2 inch thickness would be comfortable enough for your son. See More
Soft Toddler Mattress?PLEASE help!?
Ok so my son is sleeping on a hard plastic crib mattress that is AT LEAST 8 yrs. old and has been through 3-4 kids. He sleeps so much better if he is on something more padded. What is the best way to make his mattress much softer or is there a good mattress that I can buy that is already softer for him. He is out of the SIDS stage.
If he's a toddler, why not just get him a twin sized mattress? Otherwise, these are supposed to be amazing mattresses for cribs--they are ... See More
What do you use to clean a pack and play mattress? (can you hose it w/o it warping?)?
My roommate and I babysit and have had one toddler who has soaked through his diaper several times lately, this last time SOAKING through the mattress part of the pack and play (where he sleeps). Usually we just wipe it down with a soapy rag, but this last time, he actually soaked through from one side of the mattress to the other and it will need a little more cleaning than just a wipe down. So what is the best way to go about this? Can you hose it down (either outside or in the shower) w/o warping the hard part under the mattress - as this is what i would like to do? Is there a way to clean not only the top material, but the padding underneath? on a side note, they should REALLY make the mattress pad removable from the hard backing so you can wash it in the washer for a proper clean!
You cannot ash a regular mattress, but if it is just a piece of uncovered foam you can. If you have to replace it, get a fit plastic ... See More

What does "coil" mean when it comes to a mattress?
I've finally found the correct size mattress for my DaVinci Mini Crib and it says it's only a "50 coil" where as the regular sized mattresses for a Crib/Toddler bed is around 260 coils. When I first ordered the crib 2 years ago for a temporary fix in between moves for my 1st son, it came with a 2 inch padded foam-like mattress. Now that is obviously not going to work with a new born as we are back in between transitions for the year - so I found the proper fitting mattress for this particular crib. (It's on Target.com if you want to take a look) But anyways, what does that mean for the "50 coils" part...??? THANKS!
coils refer to the springs inside the mattress. See More

My daughter got a twin size bed a few months back shes going to be 3 in march and shes potty trained during the day and even at nap time but night time is a different world lol. When i do start putting her in her undies for night time and stop giving her all that water before bed and such i know i need a mattress pad for her new bed but i dont have one, can i use the mattress pad from her toddler bed to prevent accidents from leaking to the mattress or is it not built the same way as a twin bed mattress pad would be built? Just wondering, i was hopeing i could save some money on buying one until after the holidays. Has anyone tried it? Thanks in advance. i mean thanks for the advice

Where can I buy wool fabric to make a wool mattress pad?
I want to buy the fabric by the yard and cut it to fit a twin mattress for my toddler and also I want to cut one for my daughters crib. I have seen that companies want to charge over $150 for a twin size wool pad and that was the cheapest I found. I have been searching, but none of the fabrics I am coming up with online look anything like the ones that they are selling on the mattress cover sites. Any suggestions on what I should look for to do this or where to look? Thanks! Shepherdsville KY

what kind of fabric would I use?
I am wanting to make a mattress pad for a toddler bed. I need to know what fabric would be best to use for the side the child would lay on? (bedwetting prob). I need it to be as inconspicuous as possible so she can take with her to sleepovers and such. One side would be fleecy blanket material, but am at a loss for knowing what to use for the the other side, that would be either waterproof or absorbant
maybe man made vinyl? See More

How can I protect my futon mattress from a baby or child's urine?
What is the best way to protect a futon mattress from a baby or child's urine? My neighbors toddler loves to nap on my futon, which is fine with me, but she still has accidents. Right now I'm using a bed mattress pad but it doesn't fit well. What is used in Japan in hotels and in families with young children to protect against accidents?
