My little girl is 20 months. We've decided as soon as the weather cools down we are going to get her a proper pillow & duvet and change her cot bed into a bed (we will get bed sides too). I'm just wondering how you went about doing it? Did you have any problems? Did u little one keep getting out of bed?? Any advice would be appreciated!!

This is night 3 of my daughter in a toddler bed. I know it will take time to get used to a new thing but I was wondering if any one has any tips. As soon as i put her to bed she gets out and starts playing with all her toys. She is going to sleep 3 hours later than usual and is skipping her day time nap (believe me she still needs that day time nap) What do I do?

I am just wondering if there is enough room for the toddler in the cot when the bassinet attachment is on for the newborn?

My twin girls are 18 months old. At the moment at home we've pushed the girls' cots together making a double wide cot because they prefer sleeping together. No matter how tired they are they will whine and cry if we put them in seperate cots. When is it best to start moving them from cot to bed? I don't want to overload them with new things, they only started on solids five months ago.

Just to clarify, I have a cot that converts into a toddler bed, but the point of the question was when do you take them out of the cot. Thanks to the people that actually read the question.

My little boy is almost 16 months and I'm thinking about future beds etc. When do you know to move them over to a toddler bed?

My son is 1 in a couple of weeks and is currently in his cot which will turn into a bed when done. I wrote a question on hear the other day and in one of the answers a lady wrote back asking me why my son is still in his cot. Now my mother told me that he should be in his co and that he is to young for a toddler bed yet. please could i have some advice on this.

My little girl is almost 18 months and is regularly trying to climb from her cot...she wears a sleeping bag which has kept her contained but has just learned how to take it off....so I think we'll have to swap her to a bed...I'm in the UK...can anyone recommend a nice toddler bed? What's a good brand? I think one with little sides might be good...

my daughter is 17 months old and im 8 weeks pregnant with number 2. Erin is happy in her cot and sleeps through and doesnt try to climb out or anything so im happy to leave her in it for a while but i do want her in a bed at least a month or two before the baby comes. (its a toddler bed with the little sides at the top) ... oh and she will be 2 a couple weeks after the baby arrives. just wondering when you moved your child and how much success you had and any tips ... thanks x

My son is one in two weeks, is it too early to change him from cot to bed, i'm just curious i thought it would've been too early like, so what would be the right time, or is there a right or wrong time? He aint walking yet, but he's attempting to climb out of his cot (which is almost successful)
