Is a cane flute sufficient for a beginner enthusiast who never intends to go professional?
Is the longest one the most inclusive of all notes, do you know what brand is most respected, and if I wanted to teach myself "Color my World" by Chicago first, what key flute should I buy? I don't read music. I play/sing by ear.

Bamboo/cane flutes have a different sound, mellow, wood like. Check out You-Tubes, homemade flutes. allot of nice stuff out there, like people making there own > PVC fujara > bamboo flute. some of them show you how to make them.. good luck, and please try, you'll get great satisfaction from it.. Chicago >great band..start with C Major, then circle of 5ths
