After about 15 minutes of playing I have to get a new one because it rips and breaks.

Maybe your hitting it to hard or they are not good shuttlecocks because they keep breaking in badminton.I would say they are not a good brand of shuttlecocks.I can't think of anytime eles.Hope i helped
Are you playing with feather or plastic?
Try to hit flat with the racket face rather than slicing it. Slicing will destroy a shuttle fast.

For plastic use a good brand such as the Yonex Mavis 300 or 500 - dont use all plastic shuttles (base should be cork filled).

For feather, buy club grade shuttles - not tournament grade which dont last as long.
