What age is a good age for my boys to get bunk beds?
My boys are 4 and 2. Both are good climbers and I would have the older boy sleep on top. I feel he is old enough, but worry the little one will climb up there even if I say its off limits to him (which I would but it will be kinda hard to police ALL the time). I know someone who lost an eye because she fell out of a bunk (while sleeping) and landed on a plastic garbage can which shattered at age 3. I am nervous about my boys getting hurt, but they are pretty tough and good climbers etc. What age should my boys be for bunk beds?

They should have special bars that prevent children from rolling off the bed. You could place these on the top bunk so that the fear of your oldest son rolling off is gone. Secondly as for the climbing of the younger one. When it is time for bed and they are tucked in remove the ladder from the room and replace it later in the night. So that the younger son will be sound a sleep. Or if you do get bunk beds. Get the ones that are a bit lower and instead of a ladder they have wide stairs (only a few) to the top bunk which would probably be considerably safer.
once they are potty trained, its ok to let them have a bunk bed. just make sure there is a rail on the edge of the bed, and make sure that there arent any objects on the ground around the bed.
Definately after they are potty trained otherwise....Id hateb to sleep on the bottom!!!!
I think you should wait until the little boy is 4 years old.

My brothers, 10 and 8, having been sharing since age 6 & 8. My older brother used to until he turned 11, but he started to share when he was 5 and little brother was 3. (My little brother was a quiet kid then, listened to his mama, etc)

It really depends on the boys maturity and personality. If he does climb, take away one of his toys for 3 days. Say you'll keep it longer if he continues to climb. It worked for my little brother!
I have made this mistake, the youngest climbed up and tried his hand at "playing Superman". We got a sudden trip to the Emergency Ward for a compound fractured arm. I recommend waiting till you are certain both boys have the whole cause and effect thing down pat before considering bunk beds.
I heard that top bunks are not for children under 6 due to safety hazards.
I'd wait a couple of years as well.
I think they actually have a suggested minimum age when purchasing. I believe it is 6 or 7. Of course it is completely up to the parent, though.
i think you should wait until 2 or 3 more years.
