what are the balls on poster beds called?
I have a used poster bed and the balls are missing and I would like to replace them. Can anyone help?

They are called fineals on curtain rods and I think that may cover the bed posts also.
i don't know ,however when emill griffith knocked [benney "kid" parent's] head against the brass balls that were mounted in the corner's of the ring [budweiser &the w.b.a.] had them removed. 22 bangs against the head were too much for one head too stand [kid died]
They are also called bedknobs. Haven't you ever seen the movie Bedknobs and Broomsticks? It's a classic.
